At 18:48 hrs. Stations 4, 3, & 1 were dispatched to 600 Arlington St. for a brush fire. B-787-1 and 787- 2 responded along with Engine 776 to find a fire about an acre in size burning above the East End Playground.
At 22:31 hrs. the TFD was dispatched to 14 W. Broad St. for an apartment fire. Units arrived to find a small fire in a third floor apartment and were able to make a quick knock with an extinguisher. Units were on scene for one hour ventilating and over hauling.
At 20:47 hrs. Stations 4 & 2 were dispatched to 307 Center St. for an MVA with fluids down. Units arrived to find a car on its roof with the police and ambulance already on scene. Patients were self extricated and were being evaluated by EMS.
At 14:10 hrs. the TFD was dispatched to 1201 A E. Broad St. for a possible structure fire. Units responded to find nothing showing. Upon investigation they found an over heated backup computer supply that was the source of the smell.
At 16:45 hrs. Stations 4 & 2 were dispatched to 255 Lafayatte St. for an odor investigation. Units responded to an odor of fuel oil in the residence. Crews investigated and found the source and controlled it.
At 16:51 hrs. the TFD was dispatched for the Ladder and Engine 782 to respond to 7 Poplar Dr. in West Penn Twsp. for a reported house fire. West Penn units arrived to find the yard to the rear of the house on fire not the house and held the call to there units only.
At 17:25 hrs. the TFD was dispatched to 500 Penn Street for an AFA. Units went en route and were advised that the school called and a baseball had hit the pull station. Captain 782 held all units with the exception of 782 and 784 already on scene.
At 19:05 hrs. Stations 4 & 2 were dispatched to 210 Bowe St. for an odor investigation. Units went en route and were advised of an odor of something burning in the residence. Upon arrival crews went to work with Thermal Imaging Cameras(TIC) checking the residence.
At 20:06 hrs. Stations 4 & 2 were dispatched to 10 S. Lehigh St. for an odor investigation. Units went responding and were advised of an odor of rotten eggs in the residence. Upon arrival crews went to work with multi-gas meters check the residence along with the surrounding homes.
