At 00:16 hrs. the TFD was dispatched to 12 W. Broad St. for a structure fire. Units responded to find nothing showing from the exterior. Crews made entry and found a haze of smoke in the building. After further investigating it was found to be a blocked chimney.
At 17:52 hrs. the TFD was dispatched to 135 W. Union St. for a reported house fire. Chief 771 was first to arrive reporting nothing showing. After further investigation it was found to be a false call.
At 09:45 hrs. the TFD was dispatched to 35 Center St. for a possible house fire. Units responded to find nothing showing. After further investigation it was found to be a malfunctioning oil burner. Chief 771 had command.
At 16:45 hrs. the TFD was dispatched to 219 Orwigsburg St. for smoke in a structure. Units went en route and were advised of nothing showing from the police. Units arrived and after a further investigation found it to be a malfunctioning oil burner.
At 11:28 hrs. Station 4 was dispatched to I-81 South at mile marker 136 assisting Mcadoo fire on a brush fire. Brush 787-1,787-2 and Utility 788 responded and were assigned to mop up.
At 18:01 hrs. Stations 4 & 1 were dispatched to 326 Ridge Terrace in Coaldale for a possible structure fire. Engines 784 and 776 responded and were staged at the hydrant at first street. Units were released shortly after.
At 18:47 hrs. Stations 4 & 2 were dispatched to 20 Center St. for an MVA. Engine 784 responded to find a car in the roadway disabled with a broken axle. Personnel controlled fluids and traffic until the vehicle was removed.
