At 20:49 hrs. Station 4 was dispatched to 174 Claremont Ave. in Rush Twsp. for a structure fire. Engine 784 and Squad 786 responded and assisted Rush units with putting a quick hit on a garage fire with attached structure.
At 17:47 hrs. Stations 4 & 2 were dispatched to 499 W. Cottage Ave. for an unknown type fire. Units were canceled by PD before going en route. It was found to be a controlled burn.
At 16:40 hrs. the TFD was dispatched to 419 W. Spruce St. for a possible chimney fire. Units responded to find nothing showing. After gaining entry and getting the furnace to turn on it was determined to be a faulty oil burner.
At 04:20 hrs. the TFD was dispatched to 405 Arlington St. for a possible structure fire. Units arrived to find a malfunctioning oil burner. Chief 771 had command.
At 06:36 hrs. Station 4 was dispatched to 687 Tuscarora Park Rd. in Schuylkill Twsp. for a brush fire. Brush 787-1 and 2747 responded and tackled the mountain. Units from 27 were first to arrive at the origin of the fire and it turned out to be a car fire that had burned out before reaching it.
At 10:37 hrs Stations 4 & 2 were dispatched to 105 W. Broad St. for an AFA. This was the second time in ten minutes. Engine 782 was the first to arrive and held 784 in station. The crew of 782 investigated to find it to be a malfunctioning alarm.
