At 16:21 hrs. Stations 4 & 2 were dispatched to 174 Penn St. for an odor investigation. Units went en route and were advised that it was the odor of an unknown gas. Upon arrival crews went to work investigating but found nothing.
At 13:13 hrs. Stations 4 & 2 were dispatched to 400 Boyle Ave. for a brush fire. Brush 787-1 and 787-2 along with Engine 782 responded. Engine 782 staged at the bottom of the mountain while it crew went with 787-2.
At 19:51hrs. Stations 4&2 were dispatched to 22 Lafayette St. for a tree down. Upon arrival Brush 787-1 determined that we could not cut the tree due to being on wires and a very steep bank. Chief 771 had command he agreed and released all units.
At 11:26 hrs. Station 4 was dispatched to Penn Drive and Mantzville Rd. in West Penn Twp. for a large brush fire. Brush 787-1 and 787-2 and Utility 788 responded with 9 personnel. Units were on scene for 7 hours.
At 06:18 hrs. the TFD was dispatched to 309 W. Broad St. for smoke in a structure. Engine 784 was first to arrive finding a malfunctioning oil burner. Chief 771 held the call to 784 and 776 already on scene.
At 16:30 hrs. Station 4 was dispatched to the Trenton section of Delano Township for forest fire crew response on a brush fire. Brush 787-1 and 787-2 and U-788 responded. Units were on scene for several hours.
At 15:45 hrs. Station 4 was advised of smoke coming from behind a car wash on Washington St.. A crew with B-787-1 went to investigate and found a gentleman burning wood he also was found to be trespassing on the property.
At 18:40 hrs. the TFD was dispatched to 30 Hunter St. for a kitchen fire. Engine 784 was first on scene along with Chief 773 and were advised by PD that the fire was out. Crews went to work checking for extension and ventilating the structure.
