At 12:10 hrs. Stations 4 & 2 were dispatched to the intersection of Spruce and Hunter St. for a motorcycle fire. Police arrived and knocked down the fire with an extinguisher. Engine 782 arrived put down oil dry and waited for towing.
At 02:28 hrs. Stations 4 & 2 were dispatched to 406 N. Lehigh St. for a pole fire. Units arrived to find nothing showing but a resident who witnessed the arching. A repair request was sent to PPL and units cleared.
At 20:21 hrs. Stations 4 & 2 were dispatched to the Five Points intersection for an MVA. Chief 773 and Eng. 784 were first to arrive and with no injuries and no fluids down held the incident to just those units.
At 15:31 hrs. Station 4 was dispatched to 57 Catawissa Rd. in Schuylkill Twsp. for a brush fire. Upon arrival we were advised by 27-06 that it was large piles of mulch on fire. Crews assisted with wetting down the piles as a loader broke up the piles.
At 15:46 hrs. Station 4 was dispatched to 398 Stadium Hill Rd. for a brush fire. Brush 787-1 and the new Kubota responded and found a small fire that the school maintaince crew extinguished. Crews made sure the fire was out and thoroughly wet.
At 18:51 hrs. the TFD was dispatched to 200 W. Spruce St. for a reported structure fire. Units went en route and were advised of multiple calls on the incident. Engine 784 was first to arrive and pulled a hand line and made a quick knock down.
At 21:45 hrs. Stations 4 and 2 were dispatched to 11 Cherry St. for an odor investigation. Before going en route the call was upgrade to a possible house fire after a second call reported a smoke condition in the adjoining house.
At 12:55 hrs. Station 4 was dispatched to 339 Old Rt. 209 highway in Schuylkill Twsp. for a brush fire. Brush 787-1 and 787-2 responded to assist the schuylkill twsp. fire dept.. Chief 2703 had command.
